A little while ago the David Lynch Foundation did a short artist profile on me for their site DLF.TV. Shortly after this David Lynch asked his people at DLF.TV to each make a ten to fifteen second long animation on the experience of transcendence. It was then my great honor that he extended this invitation to me. Having one of my idols ask for me by name to do an animation was incredible.

My interpretation of the word “transcendence”, in the request, was that it primarily referred to the process in Transcendental Meditation where the mind experiences finer and finer levels of thought until reaches pure consciousness or pure self awareness.

The last little section of the animation was partially inspired by the an ancient Vedic saying that I've seen translated as“Far in the distance is seen the owner of the house, reverberating.”
